This thread is very simple. You can post whatever game you are playing right now. This could even help other people find interesting game for them to play.

Your playing a Visual Novel right now? I would love to read VNs. Would you please suggest some? I might take interest on it.
Hmmm...its best to start off with an easy and short one hence I'll recommend a nice but short one. If you're having any problems getting it to work or anything, don't hesitate to ask.
Have a DS? No? Even if you don't have one, it doesn't matter. A new PC can emulate it pretty fine. I'm sure you'd know how to emulate it so I'll not mention that stuff. IMO you should try this first:
Other good VNs I'll recommend: 1. Corpse Party BloodCovered (PSP- Horror)
Spoiler:
Quote :
Premise The game opens to a group of kids at their school, late at night. They are telling ghost stories and having a good time, commemorating the last day one of the girls will be spending at this school. After a short while they are discovered by their assistant teacher, who supervises them rather than sending them home. At the conclusion of the nights events, one of the girls proposes they create a charm to remember the night by. After the creation of the charm, the school is hit by an earthquake, separating the group. They each begin to realise that they are in the long since demolished Heavenly Host Elementary School, which used to exist in place of their current school. They can't seem to escape, and something in the school wants them dead.
2. Any of the Phoenix Wright games. (DS) Mystery/Detective 3. Higurashi no naku Koro Ni (Mystery, you can also watch the anime) 4. Umineko no Naku Koro Ni (God...this one is awesome..., DO NOT watch the anime ever) 5. Fate/Stay Night (the most popular VN there is) 6. VNs by rating: http://vndb.org/v/all?q=;fil=tagspoil-0;o=d;s=rating
Spoiler:
Most VNs are dating sims BTW of which I haven't recommended any.

I've heard a lot of good things about visual novels but they don't really look all that great. Are they really as good as they're stoked up to be?
They are superb. You shoul...no scratch that, you MUST try one. Hell, Stein's Gate is a VN and is much better than the anime. But maybe you should start off with a smaller one to get a feel. I'd suggest you to try 999 as well or Phoenix Wright and then you can go up from there.

Hmm. Looks like VNs are pretty good. Quite the recommendation you gave xD I think i might try corpse party blood covered, looks good. Steins;Gate is only for PS3 and XBox right?

I'm picky on the art style of visual novels. I'll probably try stein's gate.
Spoiler:
The only VN I played was Oreimo PSP which was fan-translated
I'm a bit disappointed that after making all those recommendations... ...you picked the last one I mentioned?!! What kind of art style do you like?
On checking, I found that Oreimo is only 34% translated. Did you play it on a language other than English?

Sorry about that Hellkaiser, I've got my reasons why I couldn't play those you mention
Spoiler:
1. I'm such a coward 2. Interested, but I have no DS and PC can handle emulation 3 and 4. Maybe same as #1 5. I think I overlooked this number, maybe I'll go try Fate/Stay Night. 6. Long List
As for OreImo, I played the translated route only then after the route, I dropped the game.

1. Don't worry, its not Lovecraftian horror. Not that scary. The second game however might... 2. Unless you have something like a Pentium III(in which case you most likely wont be able to play much less enjoy our game), Phoenix Wright games using emulation will run perfectly fine. 3. If you got through Digimon Tamers, you''ll get through these games fine. 4. FSN is great, do try. Especially Unlimited Blade Works route. 5. That was just so you could check out more VNs. Now you have no excuses left.

Planning on replaying it something.
I'll waiting for the complete translation. Meanwhile, this game is pretty much translated and will be released shortly for the PSP so you can try this as well: http://fuwanovel.org/novels/116 An anime of this game is gonna start airing sometime in June 2013.

This thread devolved quickly.
Anyway, I'm currently working my way through the Zelda series. I skipped one and two because A. 2 is a very tedious and annoying game to play(read-I hate it) and B. 1 may have been a very good game for its time(detailed open world on NES) but its virtually unplayable, save as a time-waster, nowadays. I beat Link to the Past ages ago, but I play games slowly and sometimes end up taking absurdly long breaks so I'm only on Links Awakening. Both very good games.
I'm also play random old multiplayer games with my brother, yesterday we played Crash 'N the Boys and Shaq Fu, one a good but somewhat unplayable game, and the other, just plain terrible. I plan on playing Digimon World soon as well.
Also, N-N-N-NECRO!

Haha, me and my brother got Arkham Asylum when it came out, and we've beaten it about ten times between us now lol. I still have yet to play City though, so please no spoilers.

I'll be reviving this thread. For the past three weeks, I've been busy playing Pokemon Y. I'm already 125 hours into it.

Hearing that I adore detective games, a friend of mine got me a point and click adventure game called The Blackwell Deception last night. I can't make a judgement yet, but the voice acting and humor of it seem pretty nice.

Good luck on completing the Dex. You can't actually complete the dex until the PokeBank arrives. I've already caught 591/595 obtainable without the bank. Which leaves me with the legendaries.

I like this thread. Right now, as in this second, I'm playing Prince of Persia(the 2008 reboot). Concurrently, I'm playing Super Mario Galaxy and Grand Theft Auto 4. All are pretty great games but GTA is really wearing me out though. It's strange, I love the game but I find it difficult to keep playing. Maybe I'd just rather watch someone else play it, IDK. Recently I beat Batman Arkham Asylum(again on hard for the trophy), Sonic Generations, Tomb Raider Anniversary HD, Ratchet and Clank:ToD and Mirrors Edge. In case you can't tell I'm replaying and clearing out a backlog of games lol.
Oh also, just earlier I ordered Metal Gear Solid from Amazon for the PS1. I've always wanted to play so I'm super excited.

Asylum's great definitely. I haven't played City but from what I hear it's amazing. And I'd absolutely recommend Ratchet and Clank, they're made by Insomniac, the developers of the Spyro the Dragon PS1 trilogy(I'm being specific so you don't think they made some of the bad later games lol) and the Resistance series(again just the good ones).
Back on topic, yesterday I beat Prince of Persia'08. It's a really good game and easily the best PoP game since Sands of Time, I don't think it's as good though due to some minor flaws. One of which being that it's very easy. The game promotes fluidity, cohesiveness and fun but at the lack of challenge. Another being that the boss fights are exceedingly repetitive. You fight the same four bosses a total of six times each with little variation. It's cool though 'cause the combat's immensely fun and well done, A major improvement over SoT.
I think I got a bit review heavy there, but basically it's a great game lol. Anyone else playing anything?

Bumping to mention I also ordered Metal Gear Solid from Amazon a few days ago and it should be arriving soon. I'm super hyped, wanted to play them for ages.
