Also iv'e noticed the blue numemon in jungle shrine give you some nice EXP.
but they're tough :/ and drop your defence everytime they attack, so finish the battle quickly lol

I played Digimon World 3 before and stopped somewhere in Bulbmon's 2nd Fight. I think the goal by then was to enter the other server of the game. Another reason why I stopped playing would be because of the long loading times and sudden freezes using my PS1.

This game brings back memories XD

The digimon that follow you around, are they constantly the ones you chose at the beginning of the game? Can you change them at any point? And how does digivolution work? Is it an in-battle feature only? Does the digimon return to rookie level after battle? Sorry for the mass questioning xD Im just really curious:P

Later on in the game, you can get other Digimon by obtaining their DNA Strand. For example to get a Veemon later in the game, you must obtain its DNA and send it to a lab in the starting town.

Their evolutions also branch out. I'm not sure what are their requirements for a certain evolution since I played the game by force.

Their evolution can be controlled. You can set a Digimon to be in Adult level if you unlocked the evolution or retain it as a child. You can still evolve in battle even in Child level.

Yes evolved forms are seen in-battle only.

I answered your questions based on what I can recall. I want to play it again too but no time >.<

Just to advise everyone i'm having a temporary break from the game and my storytelling so I can focus on modelling some doodads :3

I beat this game like some 10+ times...ah, dem memories.

Sam you forgot the boots I think. After one point, I think it becomes impossible to acquire it so go get them. And the fishing rod as well. Cardmon helps a lot with grinding and XP.

For boots, go to the Pawn shop, talk to that waitress then go to Wind Prairie and play a game with Veemon.
For the rod, first talk to the guy at Shell Beach, get a Spider web(item after beating Dorugamon), help a Divermon at the Diver lake and a Bamboo pole from the weapon shop. Then talk to the guy again and voila...a fishing rod!

That's all the help for now.

Those freaking kicking boots were Wayyyy hard to find for me... i almost beat world 3 i think i got to the red asuka city..... how far was i?

After what HellKaiser said about how to get the boots and the rod, DW3 sounds -pretty complicated xD

Eh no, it's really quite easy. You'd feel right at home if you've played any of the Pokemon games.

I love the pokemon games xD But it seems pretty different from games like emerald and diamond.

I had the fishing rod and boots on my old file but if you cant get them at a certain point i'll have to get them

Omg those boots. I hated having to find veemon because i would keep accidently leaving the forest because there was no clear cut off. I'd think, oh let me check that tree next, and bam to the next screen and i'd have to reset veemon. They really should have had a "Are you sure you want to leave the forest?"
